Function of the TOPRA GD Slotter unit

The heart of any Flexo Folder Gluer is the slotting section, High quality slotting and creasing is the most critical step in a well formed corrugated box. Dong Fang have a number of options available on the TOPRA GD including: standard, dual shaft creasing and dual shaft slotting. These configurations will ensure you get a slotting section that exactly matches your needs.

Function of the Single Shaft Slotting Unit

• The slotting register and height of the carton box are controlled by PLC.
• The slotting boss moves along linear guide rails, driven by lead screws so movement becomes more flexible and precise.
• The movement of the upper and lower boss are linked so the two knives stay aligned during movement,which helps to prolong their service life and prevent chipping.
• The caliper of the slotting bosses are controlled by PLC.
• The design of the tap knives can cutsingle or double-wall paperboard without adjustment.
• Hand hole-punching dies can also be used.
• Separate precreasing and creasing shafts prevent the cracking of liners.
• The pre-creasing wheel?creasing wheel and slotting knife boss’s transverse movement are controlled by PLC.
• The caliper of the pre-creasing and creasing rolls are controlled by PLC.

Function of the Double Shaft Slotting Unit

• Dual slotting shafts permit the maximum range of cartons to be produced without the need of adding or removing knives.
• Each slotting shaft is independently driven by it’s own servo motor
• The dual shaft slotting enables the full length of the corrugated board in the machine direction to be addressed
