Dong Fang Open House 2014

The Open House held at the new Dong Fang manufacturing facility was considered a universal success by the 500+ visitors that made the journey.
Amongst the visitors were over 150 foreign guests including Australian representatives from Orora Fibre Packaging and Visy Board (as well as Chris Hope of Revolution Industrial)

The Opening Ceremony had all the colour and movement that you would expect in China. After the opening speech by Mr Victor Tang, the President of Dong Fang and following (very brief) speeches from Industry and Government representatives, we were treated to the traditional Chinese Lion Dance. (I thought it was a Dragon Dance, but looked it up and discovered it is referred to as a Lion Dance in China).

The morning was spent in a Technical Seminar where new models were introduced and we received an update on trends in the global market.

The tour finished in Dong Fang’s display facility.
In what is a completely unique concept in Asia, Dong Fang has set up a demonstration facility where clients can view machines in operation and do production trials.
We will go into the detail of the machine features in a later article, the three lines on display and running were:

• TOPRA GD 924 Flexo Folder Gluer with Dual Shaft Creasing & New Design Folding Section & Counter Ejector
• APSTAR HG2 1629 Rotary Die-Cutter with EDF FlexyFeed PreFeeder, Stripper Stacker & Breaker / UniPal Palletiser Line. Also featured was a JB IR Drying Unit & KleenPlate
• APSTAR HG2 1228 Flexo Folder Gluer – Brand New Bottom Print Top Die-Cut machine specialising in Die-Cut RSC’s
